While it’s true that Disneyland Resort is about as kid-friendly as it gets, that doesn’t mean Disneyland can’t also be adult-friendly. It is the Happiest Place on Earth, after all, and for some of us that might entail an alcoholic beverage or two. It’s not impossible to find a few alcoholic beverages at Disneyland.
You might not be expecting to find many adult drinks at Disneyland, because it used to be a dry park up until 2019, but I’m here to tell you that there are now plenty of options in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure where you can enjoy a drink – whether it’s beer, wine, or cocktails.

If you’re into this idea of Disneyland for adults, you’ll definitely want to explore some of the top locations within Disneyland Park, such as Oga’s Cantina, Blue Bayou Restaurant, and Café Orleans. Additionally, at Disney California Adventure, don’t miss out on the sophisticated Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge, the Lamplight Lounge, and Pym Tasting Lab.
Let me take you through the options and give you some inspirational imagery to pique your interest even more. And before you have to ask, we have been to all of these places ourselves and have personally sipped these drinks.
Planning your trip? We’ve got tons of helpful Disney planning guides from our awesome list of 40 essential tips, to how to get to Disneyland, where to stay near Disney, what to pack, what to wear, where to park, and what to eat in both Disneyland and California Adventure.
Where to Find Alcoholic Beverages at Disneyland
As frequent visitors to Disneyland, we’ve spent many hours researching and visiting the spots where you can now enjoy adult beverages, from beers to cocktails, at various restaurants and bars. Disneyland does not have as many drink options as California Adventure, but there’s still some good stuff.
The only thing to keep in mind is that Disneyland doesn’t want people walking around with alcohol, so you can only order drinks in restaurants and there are no to-go cups.
Oga’s Cantina
Located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Oga’s Cantina is a popular lounge that has a variety of fun adult beverages. One must-try drink is the Jedi Mind Trick, featuring a blend of grapefruit vodka, velvet falernum, blue curaçao, and other refreshing ingredients.

Oga’s Cantina is pretty cool even if you’re not a Star Wars super fan, but if you are you’ll be blown away by the attention to detail here. It’s like a fully immersive experience. Aside from the Jedi Mind Trick, they also have the Fuzzy Tauntaun with tingling foam, T-16 Skyhopper, The Outer Rim, and the Yub Nub. They also have wine and beers on tap.

The only problem is getting in. Dining reservations open up 60 days in advance so as you plan your trip you should also plan to make reservations for Oga’s Cantina. If you’re not lucky enough to get a reservation don’t worry, you can almost always get on the walk-up waitlist through the app once you enter Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

The difference between reservations and the walk-up line, aside from the wait, is that you get a table seat (shared with others) with a reservation. Walk-up line people stand at the bar or stand-up tables scattered around the room..
Food tip » If you are looking for a snack try the garlic-cheese five blossom bread.
Blue Bayou Restaurant

Located in New Orleans Square, the Blue Bayou Restaurant added alcoholic drinks to their menu in 2021. You can find this unique restaurant at the start of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It’s a table-service only restaurant. You’re actually eating “inside” the ride, which is pretty cool, but it’s also really expensive.
The drink to get here is the Hurricane Cocktail, a mix of rum, orange juice, and passion fruit purée. For wine, you can get the Wine Tasting Selection, featuring a three-ounce glass to sample multiple wines without overindulging.
If you want a reservation here, you’re going to have to work for it. It’s one of the most exclusive restaurants, and it books up fast. Make a reservation as soon as you get your tickets.
Carnation Café

Carnation Café is located on Main Street, U.S.A.. It’s a good place to grab a drink either at the beginning or end of your day, since you’ll already be passing through. They serve alcohol all day, including a Bloody Mary and mimosas that you can order any time of day. They also have beer and wine and a Peach Pie Margarita.
Café Orleans
Another place to grab a Hurricane if you can’t get into Blue Bayou is Café Orleans, a casual yet refined dining establishment near the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean attractions. There are also a few beers and wines on the menu. The coolest thing about this place is that it’s actually a historic restaurant, dating back to 1966.

It can also be difficult to get into, especially during lunch. You might have to get your name on the list and wait for a bit. When we were there last, they had closed the list to new names (and it wasn’t a particularly busy day at Disneyland).
Food tip » Hungry? We enjoyed the chicken gumbo soup and the Monte Cristo sandwich.
River Belle Terrace

Located in Frontierland, the River Belle Terrace is a fun place to go for Southern-inspired dishes when you’re in the area. It has views of the Mark Twain Riverboat for a little extra atmosphere. This is where you can find that Wildberry Mule I mentioned. It’s a tasty blend of handmade vodka, blackberry purée, and other flavorful ingredients. The other drink worth mentioning here is the Smog City Brewing Co. Sabre-Toothed Squirrel beer.
Alcoholic Drinks at Disney California Adventure
Okay, so Disneyland has a few alcohol options, but Disney California Adventure is really where it’s at for adult beverages. There are so many choices here!
Carthay Circle Restaurant and Lounge

At the entrance of the park on Buena Vista Street, the Carthay Circle Lounge has a great cocktail menu with drinks like the Carthay Old Fashioned, The Derby, and the Scotch Mist, plus they have draft or bottled beer, an impressive wine list, and even after-dinner drinks.
We had an afternoon reservation and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and friendly service.
If you’re not in the mood for a sit-down, table-service meal, you can still enjoy the fantastic bar snacks on the menu. I like the Carthay Martini, which comes with a blue cheese truffle olive. Yum.
Food tip » Looking for some small bites to enjoy with your cocktail? We loved the Moroccan roasted chicken meatballs, boa buns of soy-ginger braised pork belly, and the Malai kofta potato.
Pym Tasting Lab

The Pym Tasting Lab is a lounge in the Avengers Campus offers a unique selection of beers, cocktails, and even “beer cocktails”. The beer cocktails are the Honey Fusion 2.0 with Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey Whiskey, Elysian Space Dust IPA, lemonade and honey syrup, and The Regulator with Patrón Silver Tequila, Golden Road Mango Cart Wheat Ale, mango and habanero syrups, and mango flavor-filled boba. You can get those without the beer too.
Two others that I really like are the R&D Martini (espresso martini with cereal-infused milk, dark chocolate espresso beans & cereal crumbles) and the Particle Fizz (Ashland hard seltzer, cherry, lime, blue raspberry and fruit flavor-filled boba).

Try the Pint-Sized Pints Mini Flight for a fun sharing experience. When I’m there with friends, we always get this sharing board with everyone’s choice of beer or cocktail.
Food tip » You can’t go wrong with the Zarg-bits to munch on.
Cozy Cone Motel

The Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land is a fun place to grab a drink. It’s a snack shack so you can only get snacky items like churros and soft serve, but they do have a good assortment of drinks too.
You will find the alcoholic beverages at Cozy Cone #4. They have rotating cocktails along with Vodka and Lemonade, Vodka & Pomegranate Limeade, Huckleberry Jam Hard Seltzer, and a couple of beers. At Christmas time, they also had a few specialty cocktails, like a Gingerbread Mule.
Check the Disneyland app to see what cocktails are on the menu.
Flo’s V8 Cafe

Flo’s V8 Cafe is another place to grab a drink in Cars Land. It’s a road trip diner with the best selection of beer that we’ve found in the park – 2 each from Brewery X and Garage Brewing. They also have a hard sparkling black tea and a hard seltzer. The food here is pretty good too. Their specialties are Flo’s Famous Fried Chicken and the Cobb de Villa Salad.
Hollywood Lounge

Hollywood Lounge (in Hollywood Land) is a bit of a hidden gem. Their beverages change throughout the year, but the thing we usually get here is the Backlot Michelada with Chile-Lime Seasoning. During Christmas this year, they had an extensive list of creative cocktails, including a sparkling apple pie cocktail and a merry cranberry margarita. If you’re looking for creative cocktails, this is the place with the most options and best menu.
Bayside Brews
Bayside Brews in Paradise Gardens Park offers a fantastic selection of craft beers on tap and a seasonal margarita to accompany fresh-baked soft pretzels. One of our favorites is the Karl Strauss® Brewing Co., Aurora Hoppyalis IPA.
Smokejumpers Grill

The Smokejumpers Grill at Grizzly Peak provides a great selection of beers and frozen concoctions to pair with burgers, fries, and chicken tenders. Try the Frozen Coca-Cola® with Captain Morgan Rum or Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey. They also have an Irish Cream Breakfast Cold Brew and a Orange Sunshine Mimosa Cider if you want to get started early. We also had a really good peach lemonade cocktail here at Christmas time, so watch out for seasonal drinks!
Lamplight Lounge

Lamplight Lounge at Pixar Pier offers an array of delicious food, draft beers, and unique signature Disneyland cocktails with a Pixar twist. Enjoy great drinks like The Short, Plot Twist, Over Budget, and Scream Canister (Bacardi Reserva Ocho Rum, Cream of Coconut and Pineapple and Orange Juices with a mist of Angostura Bitters).

This is one of our favorite places in California Adventure. It has a great atmosphere and we always seem to get a walk-up reservation without much trouble.
Food tip » We always get the lobster nachos and have never been disappointed. In fact, I dream about them! This time we also tried the potato skins and they were delicious.
Port of San Fransokyo

The Port of San Fransokyo is a new area that’s creatively decorated as a sort of Tokyo San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge. The Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería is located there. There are tons of tables to sit at and enjoy an alcoholic beverages. They have a lot of Karl Strauss beers here and one hard seltzer.

Food tip » Go right next door to Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill and mobile order the quesabirria. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
Also in San Fransokyo square, is Rita’s Turbine Blenders where you’ll find frozen margaritas in four different flavors. When it’s hot outside, this is my favorite place to grab a drink.
